02.04.08 - First Minister Opens Dalfling Farm Containerised Wood chip Boiler
HWE Designed System
Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond officially opened the HWE designed and constructed containersied wood chip boiler system at Dalfling Farm, Blairdaff, Inverurie.
This all-in-one unit features a Froling Turbomatic 55kW wood chip boiler, heat storage buffer tank and auger fuel feed from an integral partitioned wood fuel store, accessed by a hydraulic lifting lid.
Mr Salmond commented that "plants like this one here in Blairdaff should be able to mushroom up all over the country. This can be very much a pilot plant" and also that "we need more types of renewable plants in Scotland"
