03.11.06 - HWE Awarded Big Lottery Fund Grant
Bio-energy Capital Grant
Highland Wood Energy have been awarded grant funding totalling £262,240 from the Big Lottery Fund under the Bio-energy Capital Grants Scheme. The funding will go towards various HWE projects at premises including leisure centres, colleges, estate houses and visitor centres where automated wood heating systems are to replace gas and oil boilers. The installation of wood fuel heating systems in these premises will reduce CO2 emissions and the use of locally sourced wood fuel will benefit the local economies.
