13.09.07 - Scottish School of Forestry Woodfuel Boiler & Training Facility Officially Opened
M.P. Opens Facility
A year on from the installation of the Fröling Turbomatic 110kW wood chip boiler by Highland Wood Energy (HWE), the Scottish School of Forestry wood fuel boiler and training facility was officially opened by Mr Danny Alexander M.P. on 4th September 2007.
The Scottish School of Forestry are very pleased with the system, as over the first eleven months of use it has reduced their heating bills by 45%, amounting to a saving of approximately £5,000.
As described in HWE’s Autumn 2006 Newsletter, the system also works as an educational facility to demonstrate wood fuel heating in action.
