27.11.07 - Prince Edward Visits Fort William Medical Centre Wood chip Boiler
Official Opening
Prince Edward officially opened the new Fort William Medical Centre on 18 October 2007, where HWE installed a VETO 150kW wood chip heating system earlier in the year. The system features a 25m³ pre-fabricated steel wood chip storage hopper with hydraulic lifting roof. The seasoned wood chip used to fuel the system is supplied by local wood fuel business Woodtherm Fuels and is sourced from local forestry plantations. The Prince was given a demonstration of the wood chip boiler by HWE's Gary Kennedy.
